What is Seamless Cover Technology (SCT)?
Seams play a tremendous role in the performance of many of today's golf balls. A seam on a golf ball is a straight line or "gap" where the dimples from the top half and the dimples from the bottom half of a golf ball do not meet through the compression molding process. As a result, a golf ball struck on the seam will not produce the same result because the asymmetrical dimple pattern significantly alters the aerodynamics of the golf ball and causes a wide range of flight characteristics.

Bridgestone Golf balls have never had a seam, but rather a part line, which is created where the tool that encases the core separates after the injection molding process. The resulting line of material is then shaved off.
